Comfort Hotel Nagoya Shinkansenguchi

Very clean and new hotel, staff greet you every time they see u, shower water temperature was easily adjusted to perfection unlike many other hotels where it takes so long when you are shivering cold, theres generous body wash and shampoo too, room is cleaned up every day. Staff is helpful to call for taxi too. There is Lawson downstairs and lots of restaurant choices, for example the famous Misokatsu Yabaton, Coco Ichibanya, Kissa Ritchi and Komeda cafes are all a stone’s throw away.

It was in a quiet location a short walk to the train station with its universe of conveniences. The decor was light and bright, and the window opened with a nice view, letting in sunlight. The room was spacious and well laid out, with space around the beds. There were shelves, a table, two chairs, and a small closet with plenty of hangers. Complimentary breakfast!

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable! Staff were very professional and helpful! As we were travelling to another town for a couple of days, the hotel kept our luggage for us until we returned for our second stay with them! In terms of amenities nearby, there is a lawson just a few steps away from the hotel. Very convenient!

Excellent location. 5 mins away from Nagoya station, from where one could take the Shinkansen to other parts of the country and the metro to other parts of the city and suburbs. Close to high-end and budget shopping. Many restaurants close-by. 10 mins walk away, there is an excellent South-Indian restaurant. Extremely friendly and helpful front desk; Comfortable beds. Location was close to the station. It was easy to catch a bus or a train to the tourist sights. Staff had poor level of English but we got by using a translator app. We booked 3 double rooms but they gave us pillows and towels for single person for 2 of the rooms - which was also quickly fixed. Breakfast was ok - had a basic spread of western and eastern foods. They had a coffee machine at reception where we could get a free coffee. The best part were the washing machines cum dryers on the second floor - easy and cheap to operate. Just a few doors down was a fantastic Okinawa style restaurant selling yakitori.
